Mass celebrates the Little Sisters of the Poor, who are leaving St. Louis after a century and a half
The Little Sisters of the Poor announced July 6 that they will close their St. Louis Residence, after a nearly two-year search to find a new sponsor to manage the facility for the elderly poor in Old North St. Louis. A Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated Aug. 25 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis to recognize their nearly 150 years of service in St. Louis.
