About Sister Anna Smolak: My goal in life was to dedicate myself to the service of the Church. The best way to fulfill my desire was through the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver, which actively participates in the mission of Jesus Christ. The motto of our Mother Foundress, Blessed Mary Teresa Ledochowska, is: “The most divine of the divine things is to work for the salvation of souls.” We accomplish this through prayer, suffering, sacrifice and work for the missions around the world. I have happily served the Church for 50 years and hope to continue as long as the Lord allows me.
