About Father Peter Schavitz, CSSR: I have enjoyed my years ministering in the Archdiocese of St. Louis as well as across the river in the Belleville Diocese. Beside the parish missions I’ve preached, I have had the honor of preaching retreats for priests, deacons and women religious. For almost 10 years, I was involved with and presented the Marriage Encounter weekend. It also was my pleasure to be part of the Jesuit radio program “Pathways.” The only cross I’ve had to endure during my years in St. Louis is the fact that I am a Cubs fan. 2016! Blues’ fans in 2019 know exactly what I’m talking about. The only difference is it only took you half the time to be World Champions.
