Adoration with the Poor Clares

There will be a Holy Hour for priestly and religious vocations at 7 p.m. Friday, July 4, at the Monastery of St. Clare. The monastery is located at 200 Marycrest Drive, off the 6000 block of Telegraph Road. There will also be all-day adoration of the Blessed Sacrament beginning at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, July 6, at the monastery, which is a designated pilgrimage site for the 2025 Jubilee Year of Hope. The day will conclude with Evening Prayer with the sisters and Benediction at 4:30 p.m.

Twilight Fiat

The Fiat Women’s Group at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary invites women (18+) to attend its summertime Twilight Fiat on Thursday, July 17. The regular morning Fiat will still occur at 8-9 a.m. in the seminary’s Chapel of St. Joseph, but there will be an additional evening Fiat session at 7 p.m. (Rosary, spiritual talk, fellowship) in the seminary’s courtyard. Father Conor Sullivan will be speaking to both gatherings. Refreshments will be provided. If you are coming to the evening session, please bring a lawn chair with you, as seating is limited. Monthly pro-life Mass and Rosary

The monthly Pro-life Mass and Rosary hosted by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate (formerly the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants Mass and Rosary) will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 676 W. Lockwood in Webster Groves. Prayers will be offered on behalf of women and men facing unplanned pregnancies and for a greater respect for all human life, especially the unborn child. The monthly Mass is celebrated at different churches around the archdiocese.

Love and Life celebration

The archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning will host its annual Love and Life Celebration on two Sundays in July at seven parishes. In honor of the anniversary of “Humanae Vitae,” the Love and Life Celebration offers the chance to come together to reflect on the beauty of Church teaching and celebrate the gift of marriage and family. Masses will be celebrated on Sunday, July 20, at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart in Valley Park and 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel in St. Louis. On Sunday, July 27, Masses will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Assumption in Mattese, 9 a.m. at Mary Queen of Peace in Webster Groves, 9 a.m. at St. Justin Martyr in Sunset Hills, 8:45 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph in Cottleville and 10 a.m. at St. Joseph in Imperial.

Sacred Heart Syro-Malabar Mission, an Eastern Catholic community based at St. Martin de Porres Church in Hazelwood, celebrated the feast of the Sacred Heart with a procession, a drums performance, cultural programs and fellowship. Syro-Malabar Diocese of Chicago Bishop Mar Joy Alappat celebrated Holy Qurbana (Mass). The Syro-Malabar Catholic Church is based in Kerala, India, and is one of 23 Eastern-Rite churches in full communion with the Holy See.
