From mock priesthood ordinations to Water Olympics competitions, young men were given the chance to explore their faith and have some fun along the way.

It all took place at the Kenrick-Glennon Days 2022 summer camp held on the seminary grounds in Shrewsbury.

“Kenrick-Glennon Days is a fun summer camp for boys that introduces them to the possibility of becoming a priest, but most importantly gives them a chance to see faith and fun together,” said Father Brian Fallon, director of the archdiocesan Office of Vocations, who was once a Kenrick-Glennon Days camper himself.

Father Fallon said the camp includes a variety of activities for the campers including time for quiet prayer, Mass, confession, small group sharing, activity sessions and the Water Olympics.

“And then they’ll be able to kind of take home some of those experiences and apply them to their own faith life,” Father Fallon said.

This year’s camp was to feature two sessions. One session for boys entering 6th and 7th grade and the other for those entering 8th and 9th.

Father Fallon said the camp got its start in 1999 and takes place in June.
