Flood recovery in Washington and St. Francois counties
The Southern Vicariate of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, in partnership with East Missouri Action Agency (EMAA), is supporting flood recovery efforts in Washington and St. Francois counties. Organizers have noted that monetary donations are now the most urgent need as the community moves into the long-term recovery phase. Financial contributions will go toward hotel stays for displaced families, nutritional supplements, essential daily living items and individual family assistance as needs arise. Monthly pro-life Mass and Rosary
The monthly Pro-life Mass and Rosary hosted by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 25, at Incarnate Word Church, 13416 Olive Blvd. in Chesterfield. The Rosary will be prayed after Mass. Prayers will be offered on behalf of women and men facing unplanned pregnancies and for a greater respect for all human life, especially the unborn child. The monthly Mass is celebrated at different churches around the archdiocese.
Father Scheid Players present ‘Oklahoma!’
The Father Scheid Players, an archdiocesan community theater, will perform Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!” on Aug. 7-9 at the Skip Viragh Center at Chaminade College Preparatory School. Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, and Saturday, Aug. 8, and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 9. Catholic Charities Day at the Ballpark
Join Catholics from across the Archdiocese of St. Louis for Catholic Charities Day at the Ballpark on Thursday, Aug. 27, for a day of faith, family and fun as the St. Louis Cardinals take on the Baltimore Orioles at 1:15 p.m. at Busch Stadium to celebrate the archdiocese’s bicentennial. Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski will participate in a pre-game student parade and ceremonial first pitch and the St. Joseph School Competition Choir from Cottleville will perform the National Anthem before thousands of fans. Cory Nardoni named CFO
Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski has appointed Cory Nardoni as the new chief financial officer of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, effective July 6. Nardoni holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Missouri State University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). This is his second appointment as CFO, as he previously served in this role from 2020-24.
Natural Family Planning practitioner training
Mercy FertilityCare Services is offering a Creighton Model FertilityCare System Practitioner Education Program beginning this October. The 13 month program will train practitioners to teach women and couples to navigate their fertility, provide comprehensive, professional and individualized family planning services, help couples understand their sexuality and fertility, assist couples experiencing infertility in a way that is natural and cooperative, and work in an allied health profession dedicated to ongoing research and development. The first phase of training will begin Oct. 17 at Mercy Conference and Retreat Center in Frontenac. Application deadline is Aug. 31.
