Obituary | Sr. Therese Beaudin, CSJ

A memorial Mass for Sister Therese Beaudin was celebrated Dec. 5 at the Nazareth Living Center Chapel in south St. Louis County. She was a Sister of St. Joseph of Carondelet for 65 years and spent most of that time teaching at schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Sister Therese, 84, died Nov. 27 at Nazareth of end-stage dementia.

Born in Hancock, Mich., she entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1951 and made final profession in 1959. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fontbonne College in 1966.

Sister Therese taught at St. Margaret of Scotland School in St. Louis from 1954-57; St. Philip Neri School in St. Louis, 1967-68; St. Vincent de Paul School in St. Louis, 1968-69; Nativity of Our Lord School in St. Louis, 1970-72; St. Louis Cathedral School in St. Louis, 1972-75, multiple grade schools in St. Louis as a music teacher and tutor from 1975-83; St. Thomas the Apostle School in Florissant, 1983-87 and 1989-90; St. Roch School in St. Louis, 1987-89; St. Kevin School in St. Ann, 1990-91; North American Martyrs School in Florissant, 1991-97; St. Luke the Evangelist School, St. Louis, 1992-99; St. Jerome School in north St. Louis County, 1997-2000; All Souls School in Overland, 1999-2002; Good Shepherd School in Ferguson, 2002-05; St. Norbert School in Florissant, 2002-13; and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta School in Ferguson, 2005-13.

She also taught at schools in Michigan, Colorado and Wisconsin.

She retired to Nazareth Center in 2013.
