A funeral Mass for Sister Marietta Wethington, OSU, was celebrated June 2 at Mount Saint Joseph in Maple Mount, Kentucky. Sister Marietta died May 26 at Mount Saint Joseph. She was 83 years old and had been an Ursuline sister for 67 years.
A native of Clementsville, Kentucky, Sister Marietta taught and ministered in Kentucky and served in a multitude of roles in internal ministry with her community, including three terms in elected leadership.
She also served as a teacher at St. Angela Merici School in Florissant from 1979-80.
She is survived by siblings Pauline Goebel, Frank Wethington and Richard Wethington, all of Louisville.
