Father James Grady pleads guilty in federal case

Father Grady was arrested July 29 and charged July 30 last year in an undercover operation by FBI agents and local law enforcement officers. Shortly after learning of the charges, Archbishop Robert J. Carlson announced that Father Grady had been suspended from his duties as pastor of St. Raphael Parish in St. Louis.
Of the case, Archbishop Carlson said: “this is certainly very sad and a time to pray for Father Grady and all those who suffer with an addiction of any kind.”.
