Rosary for Life

The Respect Life Apostolate invites all to join in peaceful prayer and witness outside the Planned Parenthood in St. Louis’ Central West End neighborhood at the First Saturday Rosary for Life on Jan. 3. Prayer will begin at 9:30 a.m. on the sidewalk in front of the facility, 4521 Forest Park Ave., with additional prayer, hospitality and refreshments at the Our Lady of Guadalupe convent right after. MLK Mass

The 50th annual Mass for the Preservation of Peace and Justice will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. The Mass commemorates the birth and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Teens from parishes and Catholic high schools will be recognized with the Model of Justice Award afterward. The Mass will be livestreamed at cathedralstl.org.

Six Saints in Sixty Minutes

Father Michael Powell, a priest of the Diocese of Joliet, Illinois, will give a presentation, Six Saints in Sixty Minutes, at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at St. Anthony of Padua, 3133-3135 Meramec St. in St. Louis. Father Powell will explore the idea of a Jubilee Year, a custom adapted into the Christian calendar by Pope Boniface in 1300 AD. The talk will include the four patriarchal basilicas in Rome and Sts. Peter and Paul; Assisi, including Sts. Francis, Clare and Carlo Acutis; and Padua, to meet the parish’s patron saint, Anthony.

Roe v. Wade Memorial Mass

Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski will celebrate the annual Roe v. Wade Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. There will be a Rosary after Mass, followed by a reception in Boland Hall. A collection will be taken up for the LifeLine Coalition, a network of local agencies that directly assist and serve pregnant and parenting mothers and their children. The Mass is organized by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate.

Eucharistic miracles exhibit

An exhibit on Eucharistic Miracles of the World, designed by St. Carlo Acutis, will be on display on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 at Queen of All Saints Church, 6603 Christopher Dr. in Oakville. The display features detailed panels telling the story of 157 eucharistic miracles from around the world. It will be open for viewing from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Jan. 31 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 1. World Marriage Day Mass

A Mass for World Marriage Day will be celebrated at noon Sunday, Feb. 8, at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis. Father Chris Martin will be the main celebrant. A reception sponsored by Worldwide Marriage Encounter will follow in Boland Hall. All married couples are invited to attend and celebrate the gift of marriage. World Marriage Day honors husband and wife as the foundation of the family — the basic unit of society.
