Pete Cerone to lead TTEF

Pete Cerone has been appointed as executive director of the Today and Tomorrow Educational Foundation (TTEF). Cerone has been with the foundation since 2018 and was named acting executive director in July 2024. He previously was senior director of advancement. TTEF provides need-based scholarships, giving children in St. Louis and surrounding counties access to private and parochial elementary schools. Since 1991, the foundation has grown into Missouri’s largest elementary school scholarship organization.
Monthly Pro-life Mass and Rosary
The monthly Pro-life Mass and Rosary hosted by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate (formerly the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants Mass and Rosary) will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Our Lady of the Pillar Church, 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd. in Creve Coeur. The Rosary will be prayed before Mass. Prayers will be offered on behalf of women and men facing unplanned pregnancies and for a greater respect for all human life, especially the unborn child. The monthly Mass is celebrated at different churches around the archdiocese.
Compassion morning of prayer
The archdiocesan Catholic Renewal Center will host a Compassion Morning of Prayer from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at St. Catherine Laboure Church, 9740 Sappington Road in Sappington. Participants will learn what it means to have compassion for others, the importance and power of intercessory prayer and how to walk with others in compassionate prayer and meet them where they currently are. There will be an opportunity for personal reflection and prayer and to learn how to intercede for others.
St. Charles Lwanga Center open house
The St. Charles Lwanga Center will host an open house, prayer service and blessing at its new location, 8240 Washington St. in Vinita Park, on Saturday, March 29. A prayer service and blessing will take place from 9-11 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30. A discussion will take place from 1-3 p.m. To RSVP for the lunch, visit stlreview.com/3F74Dpd.
Gospel choir Lenten concert
The Michael Latchison Singing Ministry will perform a Lenten concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, at Christ Prince of Peace Church, 415 Weidman Road in Manchester. The Michael Latchison Singing Ministry is the longest active community choir in the St. Louis metropolitan area and began in 1985 when Michael Latchison started a singing Gospel ministry while working for Beaumont High School.
Immigration and Catholic social teaching
The Seeds of Justice Network will host a discussion on immigration and Catholic social teaching featuring Sister Norma Pimentel, MJ, at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at St. Louis University High School. Sister Norma is a Mexican-American sister of the Missionaries of Jesus and the executive director of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley.
