St. James ECEC voted best in St. Louis
The Early Childhood Education Center at St. James the Greater Parish has been voted “Best Child Care Program” in St. Louis in the 2022 St. Louis Post-Dispatch STL Headliner contest. STL Headliner is a community-driven contest where participants nominate and vote for their favorite businesses. The St. James ECEC serves children ages 3-5 in the Dogtown neighborhood of south St. Louis. For more information, visit stjamesthegreaterschool.weconnect.com.
Prayer, Praise and Exultation of the Holy Cross
The Catholic Renewal Center will host a Prayer and Praise Night on the feast of the Exultation of the Holy Cross at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, at the Cardinal Rigali Center, 20 Archbishop May Drive in Shrewsbury. Father Cassian Koenemann, OSB, will present a relic of the True Cross of Christ and will bless everyone present. The evening will include veneration of the Cross, anointing of the sick and confessions. Healing prayer teams will also be available. Music and worship will be led by Carrie Bajzath and friends. Discernment 101
The Daughters of St. Paul will host Discernment 101 mornings of prayer and reflection for women ages 16-33 on four dates this fall. Each Saturday morning session will include Mass, a talk, discussion time, eucharistic adoration and refreshments. The group will meet from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Sept. 17, Oct. 22, Nov. 19 and Dec. 17 at Pauline Books & Media, 9804 Watson Road.
