Journey Home to the Shrine in Florissant
The Archdiocese of St. Louis will host “Journey Home to the Shrine,” a eucharistic procession on Sunday, Sept. 13, beginning with a 4:30 p.m. Mass at St. Ferdinand Parish, 1765 Charbonier Road in Florissant. Participants will process with a Rosary and hymns down Charbonier Road to the Old St. Ferdinand Shrine, 1 Rue Saint Francois St., ending there with Benediction. Refreshments will be offered, and rides back to St. Ferdinand Parish will be available.
Way of the Sorrowful Mother
Little Flower Church in Richmond Heights will host a “Way of the Sorrowful Mother” prayer service and Holy Hour on Tuesday, Sept. 15, in honor of the Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. The evening will begin with the Via Matris, or Way of the Cross of the Sorrowful Mother, at 6:30 p.m., followed by a Holy Hour with exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 7 p.m. The church is located at 1264 Arch Terrace in Richmond Heights.
Catholics Care, Catholics Vote
All are invited to Catholics Care, Catholics Vote, a conversation on faithful citizenship and the importance of voting, from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury. Father Scott Jones, episcopal vicar for the Northern Vicariate, will speak, and the event will include a discussion on Catholic-centered voting regarding the issues we face today. No RSVP is necessary.
Children’s Memorial Mass
A Children’s Memorial Mass offering spiritual support for families who are suffering from the loss of a child at any age will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 601 N. Fourth St. in St. Charles. Before Mass, families who have lost a child are welcome to remember their loved ones by inscribing their child’s name in the Children’s Memorial Book of Life, adding their child’s name to the Mass petition list and lighting a candle. Beatification Mass volunteers
The Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation is seeking volunteers to help welcome pilgrims for the Beatification Mass of Archbishop Fulton Sheen and Expo on Sept. 24 in St. Louis and the Sheen Awards Gala on Sept. 25 at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. Volunteers will welcome pilgrims, assist guests, support liturgies and create a memorable experience for attendees. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old, complete safe environment training and attend a volunteer orientation session. Sign-ups are available at beatification.partnershipforyouth.org/interest.

The St. Charles Borromeo Knights of Columbus Council #17106 and the St. Charles Borromeo and St. Peter Respect Life Committee will host a Mass for People with Special Needs at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at St. Charles Borromeo, 601 N. Fourth St. in St. Charles. Duppong talk at Miraculous Medal Shrine
Ken and Mary Ann Duppong, parents of Servant of God Michelle Christine Duppong, will speak on Sunday, Oct. 11, as part of the “Glory to Christ the King Exhibit” hosted at the Visitor Center at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville. The couple will give presentations at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. featuring stories, witness testimonies and a Q&A session regarding their daughter, who served for six years as a FOCUS missionary before her death. The broader three-day event Oct. 11-13 will showcase over 100 crucifixes from around the world alongside venerated relics, talks by presenter Len Hornung and Masses. Theology on Tap
St. Louis Young Adult Salt + Light minstry and Catholic Charities Young Professionals will host Theology on Tap on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at 4 Hands at The District in St. Charles. Sister Amanda Marie Detry, FSP, will give a talk on “Having the mind of Christ in an age of AI.” Copies of Pope Leo’s encyclical “Magnifica Humanitas” and related reading will be available for purchase. Happy hour will be from 6-7 p.m., with the talk at 7:15 p.m.
