Rural Parish Clinic dental volunteers
The Rural Parish Clinic is seeking dentists, dental assistants and CDL drivers to help bring free dental care to uninsured rural communities. All volunteers are welcome, regardless of faith or background. Clinics are offered on Monday through Saturday, and no minimum commitment is required. Sodality of the Most Sacred Heart
The Sodality of the Most Sacred Heart will offer its next First Friday gathering on Friday, June 5, at the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France (Old Cathedral), 209 Walnut St. in Downtown St. Louis. Breast cancer healing Mass
A Mass will be celebrated to honor and extend healing to all who have been affected by breast cancer at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at St. Ambrose Church, 5130 Wilson Ave. in St. Louis. Survivors and patients as well as family members and friends are welcome. Father Jack Siefert will celebrate the Mass, which will offer those in attendance the opportunity to join their sufferings with Christ and pray for the peace and healing of all. The sacrament of the anointing of the sick will be available as part of the Mass, and a reception will be held immediately afterward. The Mass and reception are sponsored by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate.
Kenrick-Glennon Days
Kenrick-Glennon Days, an overnight summer camp for boys to experience life at the seminary, will be held from June 8-13 at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in Shrewsbury. Campers will experience games, prayers and activities that promote an openness to growing in holiness as well as discernment to a possible priestly vocation. Session one, for incoming sixth and seventh graders, will be June 8-10, and session two, for incoming eighth and ninth graders, will be June 11-13. Forgive Us Our Trespasses/Maafa Procession
The Archdiocese of St. Louis will host the fifth annual Forgive Us Our Trespasses Prayer Service and Maafa Procession in Downtown St. Louis to commemorate the approximately 2 million lives lost during the Middle Passage of the Atlantic slave trade. The event begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France (Old Cathedral), 209 Walnut St., with a prayer service and continues with a remembering ceremony at the south pond of the Arch grounds, followed by a one-mile procession to St. John the Apostle and Evangelist Church.
