Apostolic Signatura rejects appeal
The Vatican’s Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura has responded to a parish that appealed its suppression or merger as part of All Things New. The prefect has rejected the petition for hierarchical recourse for St. Paul in Berger, upholding Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski’s 2023 decree to subsume St. Paul into Assumption Parish in New Haven. The prefect decreed that the decision is final.
A previous article incorrectly attributed the decision to the Dicastery for Clergy.
