New Borgia president

Joseph Fischer has been appointed the next president of St. Francis Borgia High School in Washington. A native of Washington and a St. Francis Borgia alumnus, Fischer brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in finance, entrepreneurship and organizational strategy. He currently serves as founder and CEO of CFO JOE, a financial advisory firm that supports business leaders in strategic planning and financial stewardship. Fischer, his wife, Sara, and their three children are parishioners at St. Francis Borgia Parish and reside on their family’s sixth-generation farm a few miles from the high school campus.
Support Archbishop Carlson Adoption Fund
A raffle to support the Archbishop Robert J. Carlson Adoption Fund is taking place through March 25. The first prize includes use of the Mercy Suite for one St. Louis Cardinals home game during the 2026 season, 20 tickets, buffet (ballpark food and drink) and two parking passes. Second prize includes 10 tickets, buffet and one parking pass. Raffle tickets are $25 each or six for $100. The drawing will take place March 26. Proceeds benefit the adoption fund, which supports families seeking to adopt a child and is administered by the archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning. Evangelization 401
The Western Vicariate will host an Evangelization 401 workshop on moral apologetics from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 28, at All Saints Parish, 301 Cardinal Place in St. Peters. Father Conor Sullivan and Jen Ryan will explore responses to questions in Catholic morality. Register at stlreview.com/4cIXsCi.
Tenebrae service
Sacred Heart Parish in Florissant will host a Tenebrae service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at the church, 751 N. Jefferson St. The traditional service features Matins and Lauds chanted in Latin in a darkened church, interspersed with readings reflecting on the passion of Christ, while 15 candles are gradually extinguished until only one remains. The service will last around two hours, and participants are welcome to arrive late or leave early as their schedules permit.
High school fair
Families with students in grades five and up are invited to a Catholic high school fair from 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Cor Jesu Academy, 10230 Gravois Road. Families can explore educational opportunities by meeting representatives from Catholic high schools in the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Come and See
Men and women ages 18-49 are invited to a “Come and See” day on Saturday, April 11, at Mary the Font Solitude in High Ridge. Spend the day with the community of the Society of Our Mother of Peace. The day runs from 9:30 a.m.- 4 p.m. and includes lunch.
