iGiveCatholic prize winners announced

Donors gave more than $2 million to parishes, schools and ministries in the Archdiocese of St. Louis through the 2025 #iGiveCatholic campaign, more than doubling the amount raised in 2024. The Annual Catholic Appeal recently announced prize winners from the 2025 campaign, held on Giving Tuesday, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. They include:

Golden Tickets ($1,000 each from a random drawing of donors): Advanced Giving, St. Margaret of Scotland; Morning Coffee, Covenant Network; Afternoon Coffee, Duchesne High School

Grand Prizes ($1,000 each): Most Dollars Raised, Affordable Housing Fund; Most Unique Donors, Chesterton Academy of St. Louis

Incentive Prizes ($500 each): P2P Fundraising Champion, Chesterton Academy of St. Louis; Matching Gifts Champion, Rural Parish Clinic; Most Improved Returning, Affordable Housing Fund; Top Performing New, Peter &Paul Community Services

Early Registration Prize ($1,000): Early Registration, Covenant Network

Lenten devotional concert

The choir of St. Francis Borgia Parish in Washington will offer a Lenten devotional concert, “The Way of the Cross,” at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, at Holy Redeemer Church, 17 Joy Avenue in Webster Groves. The concert is based on the Stations of the Cross, and there is a song to reflect on each of the 14 stations. It has been offered every year, except during the pandemic, since 1997. The free concert lasts about 75 minutes.

Pro-Life Mass and Rosary

The monthly Pro-Life Mass and Rosary hosted by the archdiocesan Respect Life Apostolate (formerly the Helpers of God’s Precious Infants Mass and Rosary) will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1014 Madison Ave. in Washington. The Rosary will be prayed before Mass. Prayers will be offered on behalf of women and men facing unplanned pregnancies and for a greater respect for all human life, especially the unborn child. The monthly Mass is celebrated at different churches around the archdiocese.

Gun recycling event

A Guns to Gardens gun recycling event will take place from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, March 28, at St. Josephine Bakhita Parish, 2401 N. Grand Blvd. in St. Louis. Participants are invited to bring their unwanted and unloaded guns stored in the vehicle’s trunk, which will be removed and dismantled by a Guns to Gardens volunteer. The dismantled firearms will be repurposed into gardening tools. A $150 Aldi gift card will be given for every recycled gun (while supplies last). Celebrate Catholic Marriage Experience

The Celebrate Catholic Marriage Experience is a seven-week in-person series for married couples to grow closer together and strengthen their Catholic marriage while building a support and community with other couples. The series will kick off with a date night experience at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at St. Joseph Church in Manchester. The series will continue on Sunday evenings through June 7. Spring pro-life marches

Coalition Life will host its March on the Arch on Saturday, April 25, in Downtown St. Louis. The annual event includes a 1-mile march to the Gateway Arch, a rally and speakers. To register, visit coalitionlife.com/march-on-the-arch.

The annual Midwest March for Life will take place in Jefferson City, Missouri, on Thursday, April 30, at the Missouri State Capitol. Rally speakers include Reagan Barklage of Students for Life, pro-life advocate Mayra Rodriguez and Linda Friere of Sidewalk Advocates for Life.
