Relics at St. Peter

Thirty first- and second-class relics will be on display during the month of November at St. Peter Church, 243 W. Argonne Drive in Kirkwood. The relics, which come from saints including St. Augustine, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Peter and St. Maria Goretti, are available for veneration from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sundays in the Mary sanctuary of the church. Mass times on Sunday are 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.; please visit the relics before or in between Masses to respect the eucharistic celebration. Relics are also open for visitors to venerate 30 minutes before and after 5 p.m. Mass on Saturdays, and during the Divine Mercy Chaplet at 9 p.m. on Monday evenings (doors open at 8:55 p.m.). Plarn workshop

Father Michael Jennrich, OFM, will lead an introduction to the Plarn Project from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in St. Louis. Father Jennrich will demonstrate how to use plarn (“yarn” made from recycled plastic bags) to be made into useful items for greater good, such as sleeping mats for people on the streets. The workshop will take place in the parish hall, 3133-3135 Meramec St.

Living Works of Mercy

The Northern Vicariate of the archdiocese will host a Living Works of Mercy evening of prayer and fellowship on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 6-8:30 p.m. at St. Monica Church, 12136 Olive Blvd. in Creve Coeur. All are invited to connect with others on mission to make disciples and share innovative practices, ideas, and learn how to support each other in evangelization efforts. Physical motion and prayer

Father Frank Folino, OFM, will discuss Physical Motion as a Vocabulary for Prayer, from 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in St. Louis. Father Folino will explore how to use our bodies as instruments of prayer and to deepen prayer life through mindful, reverent motion. The discussion will take place in the parish hall, 3133-3135 Meramec St.

Blue Christmas

Ascension Parish in Chesterfield will host a Blue Christmas service at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at the church, 230 Santa Maria Drive. The evening is a time of reflection for anyone who is grieving, sad, lonely or overwhelmed during the holiday season. Refreshments will follow the service. The event will also be livestreamed at asc.church/livestreammass.

Baby Jesus Party

The Daughters of St. Paul will host their annual Baby Jesus Party from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Pauline Books &Media, 9804 Watson Road in Crestwood. Activities include pictures at the manger (costumes provided), refreshments, crafts, a Nativity raffle, Christmas treats and a special Christmas program from 11-11:30 a.m. Activities are designed for children ages 5-7.
