Catholic Art Festival
The fourth annual Catholic Art Festival will be held from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Epiphany of Our Lord Parish field, 6593 Smiley Ave. in St. Louis. The festival will include work from 26 local artists, live music, kids’ activities, eucharistic adoration and other devotions. Entry is free; refreshments will be available for purchase. Creation Care Summit
The Archdiocese of St. Louis Laudato Si Commission will host a Creation Care Summit: Planting Seeds of Peace and Hope from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, at the Cardinal Rigali Center, 20 Archbishop May Drive in Shrewsbury. All are invited to learn from Catholic social teaching about hearing “both the cry of the earth and the cry for the poor” by planting seeds of peace and hope for creation. Pray with the SSNDs
The North American Vocation Team of the School Sisters of Notre Dame invites young adults ages 18 and older to a monthly online evening prayer on select Tuesdays at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Remaining dates for evening prayer in 2025 are Sept. 23, Oct. 28, Nov. 25 and Dec. 16. The online prayer typically lasts about an hour. Symposium on Spirituality and Mental Health
St. Peter Claver Parish social justice ministry will present a Symposium on Spirituality and Mental Health from 10:45 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at the Rose Philippine Duchesne parish hall of Sacred Heart Parish, 1210 Paddock Drive in Florissant. The symposium will feature Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski, the Community Gospel Choir, St. Charles Lwanga Center director Danielle Harrison, clinical therapist Philip Hutsler and panelists Nancy McCarthy and Deacon Tim Dunn. Katy Trail Pilgrimage
The ninth annual Katy Trail Pilgrimage will take place from Oct. 6-10, covering 53 miles on the Katy Trail over five days. Father Tim Foy, pastor of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Ellisville, will lead the pilgrimage, which begins at the Dutzow trailhead and ends at the Church of the Risen Savior in Rhineland. Pilgrims will hear talks on the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary over the course of the pilgrimage from Father Charlie Samson, Father Ray Buehler, Father Charlie Archer, Father Stephen Schumacher and Father David Hogan. Benefit for Wellston Food Pantry
“Food as Art,” a fundraiser benefiting the Wellston Food Pantry, will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at the Carbon Members Club in Clayton. Enjoy food prepared by Michelin-starred chef Gianni Coluci and music from guitarist Brian Clarke, with opportunities to bid on local celebrity chefs offering unique dining experiences and one-of-a-kind artwork. Adoption grant deadline
The deadline to apply for the Archbishop Robert J. Carlson Adoption Grant is Saturday, Nov. 1. Sponsored by the archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning, the grant assists families in the process of adopting a child or who have adopted a child within the last two years. Since its inception in 2009, the grant has awarded more than $379,790 total to 67 grant recipients, allowing 65 children to be adopted into their forever families. To apply, visit bit.ly/ARJC-Grant.
