World Marriage Day
Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski will celebrate a Mass for World Marriage Day at noon Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis. All married couples are invited to attend and celebrate the gift of marriage. World Marriage Day honors married couples as the foundation of the family, the basic unit of society. It emphasizes the faithfulness, sacrifice and joy of daily married life. A reception, sponsored by Worldwide Marriage Encounter, will follow in Boland Hall.
Racial Unity Mass
Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski will celebrate the fourth annual Mass of Racial Unity at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at St. Cletus Church, 2705 Zumbehl Road in St. Charles. The Mass is organized by the archdiocesan Office of Racial Harmony and Black Catholic Ministries. The Mass will be livestreamed at www.saintcletus.org.
SVDP Trivia Night
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will host a trivia night at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 1408 S. 10th St. in St. Louis. Tickets are $25 per person or $200 per table of eight. All proceeds will be used to provide emergency rent and utility assistance to those in need throughout St. Louis. The event includes complimentary beer, soda and light refreshments, as well as a cash 50/50 raffle, silent auction and heads or tails game. Catholic Men for Christ
The annual Catholic Men for Christ Conference will be held from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Si Commons at St. Louis University High School in St. Louis. All men of the archdiocese are invited for a day of fellowship and iron sharpening iron as our speakers reflect on what it means to be free from sin and the social pressures we are faced with each day: “For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants of one another.” Guest speakers will be Jonathan Reyes, senior vice president for communications for the Knights of Columbus; John Edwards, founder of Pew Ministries; and Father Patrick Ike Nwokoye. The annual Catholic Women for Christ Conference will be held from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at the Si Commons at St. Louis University High School. All women of the archdiocese are invited for a day of fellowship and faith as speakers reflect on what it means to glorify God with all our actions each day as we unpack the Scripture verse taken from Mary’s magnificat: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior.” Guest speakers will be Heather Khym, cofounder of Life Restoration Ministries and cohost of Abiding Together podcast, and Sister Marie Veritas, SV, director of evangelization for the Sisters of Life. Meet Them at the Well
“Meet Them at the Well: Walking with Our Loved Ones Who Have Left the Church” is a program that will be offered by the archdiocese this spring. Participants will learn how to talk to adult children who have left the Church, practice sharing their faith story with others, hear practical dos and don’ts and strategies for addressing roadblocks to returning to church. The program will be held from 5-8:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Holy Family Parish Center in Arnold (dinner included) and will be repeated on Saturday, April 5, from 9 a.m.-noon at Most Sacred Heart in Eureka.
