A celebration of St. Louis

To celebrate the feast of St. Louis IX on Aug. 25, Catholics processed from the Oratory of Sts. Gregory and Augustine to the Apotheosis of St. Louis in Forest Park, where they prayed the Rosary and celebrated with music and dancing.

A relic of St. Louis IX was carried in procession as part of the Festival of Saint Louis on Aug. 25 through Forest Park in St. Louis. The procession, held on the feast of St. Louis, traveled from the Oratory of Sts. Gregory and Augustine in Richmond Heights to the Apotheosis of St. Louis on Art Hill in Forest Park. The procession was followed by prayer at the apotheosis, music and dancing.
