Pediatrics Assistant, Part-Time

We are a pediatric office looking for an assistant to join our team approximately 2 days/week, weekdays during the day.  No evenings or weekends.  Our day starts with prayer. They will be measuring babies and children, checking vital signs, preparing/giving immunizations after much training, performing lab tests, and documenting in an electronic health record.  Needs communication skills both verbal and written as well as some math for measurement.

The assistant may help answer phones, schedule appointments and must be comfortable with using computers.  They set up prescriptions and referrals, clinical faxes and sometimes handle insurance inquiries. They do not give medical advice.  Needs annual flu vaccine and standard immunizations. Some lifting and carrying may be required.

We seek someone warm, kind, thoughtful with children and families, a reliable team member, and who stays in positions for years.  We are willing to train our own. Interest and experience with breastfeeding would be a bonus but not required.
