SPANISH TEACHER – DE SMET JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL

De Smet Jesuit High School invites applications for the position of Spanish Teacher, starting with the 2026-2027 school year.  This position is responsible for helping students develop proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading and writing Spanish.  Spanish communication skills are developed in the context of Spanish civilization, culture and literature.

All teachers at De Smet Jesuit provide college preparatory level instruction to young men in a Catholic, Jesuit environment with an emphasis on cura personalis, collaborating to build a supportive, dynamic, and interesting program that engages young men.  Faculty members are involved with curriculum design, culture building and extracurricular programming in addition to their classroom teaching responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish or a related area, at least two years’ experience teaching at the secondary or post-secondary level, and be able to demonstrate fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Spanish.
