About Sister Anita Louise Franz: Sister Anita is a native St. Louisan and an avid Cardinals fan for whom the highlight of each summer is attending the ballgame hosted by the Serra Club. Her vocation was nurtured by the Franciscan Sisters who taught her at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Cool Valley. She is particularly grateful to Sisters Julienne, Patricia Ann (Harriet Marie) and Lucia for their inspiration in 7th and 8th grades. Among Sister Anita’s hobbies are crocheting, reading, walking outdoors and traveling. She has been blessed to travel to Rome, Assisi, Germany (to visit her father’s family) and Hawaii to visit her lifelong friend. In understanding the many times she has packed and moved, she turns to Luke 4:43, “But He said to them, ‘To the other towns also I must proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God, because for this purpose I have been sent.’”
