The Vatican’s Dicastery for the Clergy has responded to another parish that appealed its suppression or merger as part of All Things New. The dicastery has rejected the petition for hierarchical recourse for St. Paul in Berger, upholding Archbishop Mitchell T. Rozanski’s decree to subsume St. Paul into Assumption Parish in New Haven. Father Jeffrey Maassen serves as pastor.
