Hikers and bikers\, climbers and environmentalists\, poets and philosophers\, all will find something to take away from this detailed collection. Photo buffs will love the magnificent images by landscape photographer Diana Linsley. Don will be around after the presentation to sign copies of his book which will be available for purchase.\nWeather permitting\, a nature walk will follow on the Mercy Center campus led by Sister Jan Hayes\, RSM from the Mercy Conference and Retreat Center staff. Attendees are encouraged to wear sturdy walking shoes.

DESCRIPTION:Give yourself a time of rest in the quiet beauty of Mercy Center. Disconnect from stress and pressure and reconnect with your deeper self. Mindfully walk the paths or labyrinth\, pray in our sacred chapel space\, enjoy simple creative activities\, read\, journal or simply rest in the stillness. This silent retreat provides you with a private room/private bath as well as comfortable lounges for reflection. To provide the most restful rhythm\, the structure is limited to meal times and arrival/departure times. There are no conferences or prayer services\, though participants are welcome to sign up for a spiritual companioning session. Register at www.mercycenterstl.org by noon on October 5.\nOPTION 1: WEEKEND RETREAT: 2 overnights and 5 meals; cost: $200. Arrive: Friday\, October 9 between 3:00 – 5:30pm. Group Welcome Meeting at 5:30pm\, followed by dinner at 6:00pm. Depart: Sunday\, October 11 at 11:00am (optional Mass at 10:00am)\nOPTION 2: SINGLE OVERNIGHT RETREAT: 1 overnight and 3 meals; cost: $120. Arrive: Friday\, October 9 between 3:00 – 5:30pm.
