Pierre Teilhard de Chardin – Bridge to the Modern Era

This Sunday afternoon program is part of Mercy Conference and Retreat Center’s “Wellsprings of Spirituality” series to honor its 50 years of service in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Teilhard was a Jesuit priest and a renowned paleontologist who understood how science and faith together reveal the ongoing creativity of God through the process of evolution. By bridging faith and science, Teilhard presents us with a new way of understanding God’s continued action in our world and where it is all leading. The afternoon will consist of presentation, prayer and faith sharing as well as a film clip of Teilhard’s life.
About the Presenter: Sister Danielle Witt is a School Sister of Notre Dame who works part time as a spiritual director at Mercy Conference and Retreat Center. She has a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Catholic Theological Union in Chicago and has been a spiritual director and in retreat ministry for more than thirty years.
