Would you like to write your own icon of the Madonna and Child? Do you want to learn from a master iconographer? Fr. Alex returns again to teach 2 different week-long iconographic classes at Saint Louis Priory School campus. Fr. Alex is from El Monasterio de Santa María de la Santísima Trinidad, in Lurín, Perú. He apprenticed in iconography at Guatapé, Colombia, refining his skills under the tutelage of Aidan Hart at the Prince of Wales’ School of Traditional Art in the UK, and mastering his craft at the Ukrainian Catholic University at Lviv Oblast. He has a graduate degree in theology from Blackfriars Studium in Oxford, UK, where he lived for four years. He has produced icons on commission for monasteries, churches, and individuals in the UK, Latin America, and the United States. The workshop dates are June 23-27 or June 30-July 4. Each class is limited to 12 students, runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Lunch, beverages and snacks, as well as all iconography materials are included in the workshop fee.
