Concert with Robert Hutmacher, OFM

A Franciscan Friar and priest, Robert Hutmacher, OFM is presently artistic director of Chiesa Nuova, a Franciscan ministry for the performing arts in Chicago. He has served in parishes throughout the Midwest, including 24 years at St Peter’s Church in the loop. Published and recorded, Robert has been involved in the liturgical and musical life of the Church his entire life. He has performed, published and recorded many works in the U.S. and Italy, including eight concerts in Assisi.

He studied piano with Daniel Truman Fletcher at Memphis State University and with Vladimir Leyetchkiss of Chicago. He studied composition with David Clarke Isele at the University of Notre Dame and six years of harp study with John Manno of Chicago.

Robert continues to live out the mission of Chiesa Nuova which is to witness God’s beauty and love through the performing arts by inviting artists and the community to mutually experience the fine arts in a Franciscan atmosphere of hospitality, openness, and peace.

St Anthony’s Parish Community is proud and honored to host Robert (Fr. Bob) in concert. All are welcome to attend, including a reception afterwards.
