Physical Motion as a Vocabulary for Prayer

November 23 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Free

Facilitator: Fr. Frank Folino, OFM
We make the sign of the Cross, using our arm to mark ourselves as Christians. This gesture is itself a prayer. We bow before the altar in our churches. This is the beginning of what we may consider a “dance” before God. In other words, we use our bodies besides our lips and voices to speak with God. But we need not stop there. Our conversation with the Lord – our worship, our petitions, our gratitude – can all find further expression through the movement of our bodies. Each one of us, no matter our age, gender, or physical ability, can deepen our prayer life through mindful, reverent motion. Let’s explore together how our bodies, too, may become instruments of prayer
